Phoenixville-based Bluebird Distilling has expanded into Philadelphia with the second location of its all-day cafe and cocktail bar concept Char & Stave recently opening its doors in Chestnut Hill, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The new spot is located in the same space where the brand hosted its holiday pop-up late last year. The 1,500-square-foot space can seat around 50 people. It features a long bar, a coffee counter, and custom art. There is also a retail area that sells coffee beans, merchandise, and Bluebird’s spirits.

The spot will serve a variety of coffee roasts along with daytime drinks such as the Smoky Maple latte. Meanwhile, the cocktail menu will include cafe-inspired cocktails along with popular Bluebird cocktails.

Choosing Chestnut Hill for the second Char & Stave location was an easy decision as it was a “natural fit” for the expansion, according to Jared Adkins, founder and owner of Bluebird Distilling and Char & Stave.

“We’re going to bring killer café programming during the day, in addition to being the community’s only late-night cocktail bar,” he said.
