The Valley Forge Tourism and & Convention Board is celebrating the arts and culture in Montgomery County this fall, writes, Ashley Harder for CBS News Philadelphia.

Montco Arts Week, which begins September 20 and runs through October 1, will showcase the beauty of art and music at different venues throughout the county.

On the list are art museums and galleries as well as live performance venues. Over 22 locations are participating in the celebration of the arts.

The second annual Montco Jazz Fest is another great way to celebrate the arts this month. The fest is highlighting Women in Jazz.

One of the participating venues is the Montco Cultural Center at Montgomery County Community College. Brent Woods, senior director of arts & culture, said that the new theater honors the true heart of culture.

The theater seats over 500 people, consists of 3 balcony areas, 2 sky boxes and a VIP section.

Ursinus College is also participating in the festivities by showing their classic art within the Berman Museum and by hosting live jazz performances.
