Kofi Osei is a grassroots organizer in Lansdale.

Patch and T-Mobile have teamed up to recognize local community leaders. Readers can send in nominations to honor the often-unsung heroes in our community, writes Justin Heinze for Patch.

Jenn Foster, a Lansdale reader, recently nominated Kofi Osei, a grassroots organizer in Lansdale. Foster and Osei are both former Towamencin Government Study Commissioners.

Osei founded Towamencin Neighbors Opposing Privatization Efforts to stop the sale of the local municipality’s sewer plant to a private company.

On why he should be recognized, Foster wrote, “As a young man in the Township, Kofi doesn’t get nearly enough credit for the work he has done to protect his neighbors. I know I’m not alone when I say he should be recognized for his continued efforts.”
