The Spuntino Wood Fired Pizzeria in Doylestown was named the best spot for Neapolitan-style pizza.

A popular pizzeria in Doylestown has been listed as the best spot in Pennsylvania for Neapolitan-style pizza and more. Dylan Moriarty, Andrew Van Dam, Amanda Finnegan, and Gabe Hiatt all wrote about this and other pizza shops for The Washington Post.

Spuntino Wood Fired Pizzeria, located at 22 South Main Street in the Main Street Market Place, was ranked as the #1 restaurant serving Neapolitan-style pizzas in the state.

Other pizzas on this list included Proper Brick Oven & Tap Room in Pittsburgh, Ravanesi Pizzeria Napoletana in Glen Mills, and AmberDonia Bakery in Kingston, among others.

Offering other pizzas like the Regina, Salsiccia, Gamberi, and Fradiavolo, the establishment offers a wide variety of classics along with their own takes on beloved slices.

“9 years in, and I think we are just hitting our stride,” the owners said in a Facebook post earlier this year.

“Every time I feel we have reached our ceiling, this tiny pizzeria surprises me in unimaginable ways. I’m proud of the food we serve and relationships we have made. I can’t thank my friends and family enough, for helping me live my dream every day.”
