Huntingdon Valley’s Ben & Irv’s a Top Spot for Observing Rosh Hashanah
In honor of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, Eater Philadelphia has compiled a list of the top Philly restaurants celebrating the holiday, and Ben & Irv’s in Huntingdon Valley made the list.
The Jewish New Year begins at sunset on Friday, September 15 and runs through Sunday, September 17, writes Ernest Owens for Eater Philadelphia.
Located at 1962 County Line Road in Huntingdon Valley, Ben & Irv’s is known for its hearty servings of kasha and bowties, matzo ball soup, and roast chicken.
Manny’s Deli Stop in Willow Grove and Hymie’s in Merion Station also made the list.
Manny’s is known for its brisket and gravy and salmon with dill sauce, and Hymie’s salmon, stuffed cabbage, potato kugel and loaf cake are always a crowd-pleaser.
