Montgomery County Community College is seeking applicants for the Head Cheerleading Coach position. This position is responsible for planning, programming, directing, supervising, and implementing the duties and functions of the individual sports program.

The position is part-time and temporary. The head coach is directly responsible to the Director of Athletics.

This position requires PA Child Abuse, PA State Police, and FBI Fingerprinting
clearances submitted prior to the first day of employment, as well as pre-employment drug screening test.

Part-Time Casual Employees are hired on a seasonal basis during peak periods and may serve a
maximum of four consecutive months and are limited to a maximum of 25 hours per week.

The selected applicant is expected to have the following qualifications and credentials:

• Associate degree required; Bachelor degree or higher degree preferred.
• Coaching experience; collegiate coaching experience preferred.
• Strong communication, listening and time management skills.
• Ability to manage a team in a fair-minded, honest, efficient, and professional manner.
• Knowledge of NCAA and NJCAA rules and compliance.
• Valid USA Cheer – Basic Certification preferred.
  • Continued employment is contingent upon obtaining certification within one year of hire.
• Valid USA Stunt certification preferred.
  • Continued employment is contingent upon obtaining certification within one year of hire.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certifications are required;
  • Continued employment is contingent upon obtaining these certifications within three months of hire.
