Hatfield-Based Automotive Parts Supplier Sees Sales Increase Amid New Products

A Hatfield-based supplier to the automotive aftermarket is reporting a dip in earnings, despite an increase in sales.

A Hatfield-based auto-parts supplier is reporting a dip in earnings, despite an increase in sales, writes Gregory Purcell for 69 News.  

Due to inflation and interest expenses, Dorman Products, sales were impacted. The company’s president and CEO Kevin Olsen said that the second quarter played out as expected. He says that the company’s latest acquisition “SuperATV” is performing well.

The company has also launched hundreds of new products for the quarter, such as the Dorman OE FIX engine heater hose assembly and torque converter lock-up solenoid.  

For the second quarter of 2023, net sales were $480 million, which is 15 percent higher than compared to the second quarter of 2022. The growth can be attributed to the company introducing the SuperATV. Net income was $32.8 million.
