Lower Salford will see a $65 million expansion at the headquarters of pharmaceuticals and manufacturing company Almac Group, which held its groundbreaking this past Thursday, writes Donna Rovins for the Daily Local News.
The project is expected to be finished in 2025 and will add up to 355 jobs and an additional 115,000 square feet of new building space.
In addition, clinical capacity will increase by 60 percent with more cold and ultra-low storage. The campus will aim to follow LEED certification standards. Other additions to the property include a pedestrian bridge to enhance walkability.
Blue Bell-based Cyma Builders & Construction Managers will be assisting in this large-scale project.
Almac Group, which has offices around the globe, has 7,000 employees and announced a 14.3 percent revenue last year.
“Almac is dedicated to ensuring we remain a global leader in our industry, giving our clients, and ultimately patients, across the world the best possible offering. We continue to play our part as a valued and trusted member of the communities in which we operate,” said CEO Alan Armstrong.
