Goodwill Keystone Area recently celebrated the remodel of its longstanding Phoenixville store with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, according to a staff report from The Daily Local News

The elected officials and Goodwill representatives who were present for the ribbon-cutting were also excited that the ceremony ushered in an era of workforce training and development at the store with the introduction of the organization’s mobile learning lab.

The Goodwill facility went through several enhancements to provide a fully inviting atmosphere to its space. The 15,000-square-foot store has new store displays and improved traffic design in the retail part, as well as refreshed branding. The backroom production area has also been enlarged to allow employees to process more donations while ensuring safety.

“Goodwill has operated at this location for a quarter-century, which is a testament to the incredible support from the Phoenixville-area community,” said Goodwill Keystone Area Chief Production Officer Andrew Gackenbach.

“We thank our generous donors for continuing to drop off their gently-used items, and we are thrilled to provide an enhanced shopping experience with improvements made to the store floor and increased inventory resulting from changes to our back-of-shop operations,” Gackenbach added.
