Villa Artigiano Ristorante, a casual Italian BYOB, opened quietly in Ardmore two months ago after eight months of renovations, writes Caroline O’Halloran at SAVVY/Main Line.

The BYOB took over the old A la Maison space in downtown Ardmore. It has 90 seats inside and outdoor seating for 16.

A family affair, it is run by an Albanian family, the Kupa’s.

Nuri Kupa, the owner who is backed by partner investors, is a former chef at La Viola in Center City. His son, Redi, works under him in the kitchen, while his son, Tony, is in charge of the front of the house.

His daughter, Morava, helps out on the weekends.

Villa Artigiano is open for dinner all week long and open for lunch Monday through Saturday.

“We like to say we serve Italian food with a little bit of love,” Tony said.
