Oaks-based SEI Investments has inked a multiyear sponsorship deal with the Philadelphia Phillies in hopes of attracting new clients and employees, writes Jeff Blumenthal for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

SEI Investments provides banks, investment advisors, institutional investors, and investment managers with asset management software and services.

The new partnership is part of its plan to focus on talent, culture, and growth as three key strategic areas, the company said.

The sponsorship deal includes an increased market presence aimed at driving client engagement and growth, events to promote volunteerism and charitable giving to support local community and initiatives.

There will also be a hackathon competition to drive innovation among SEI employees and the Phillies’ baseball operations team, a collaboration on a mural, and a wiffle ball tournament at SEI’s headquarters with the Phillies.

The deal will put the Oaks company’s brand directly in front of the Phillies’ fan base.

New SEI CEO Ryan Hicke wanted to find marketing partnerships that would make SEI more visible in its key markets, but also to a wider audience, said SEI Chief Marketing Officer Seth Morrison.

“We’re trying to reach out to almost the world to tell them about SEI, not just our target market.”
