Gulph Creek Hotels, which is based in Wayne, Pennsylvania, is planning on redeveloping the 168-room Best Western Plus in King of Prussia, according to a staff report from the Lodging Magazine.

The company will demolish three sections of the hotel that total 100 guestrooms and later construct a 136-room Residence Inn by Marriott. The new hotel will feature a bar, patio, grills, and fire pits, all of which will surround an outdoor pool.

The other 68 rooms will be renovated and turned into the Hotel Prussia, BW Signature Collection. The hotel will have a lounge/workspace with food and beverage offerings available throughout the day, a CrossFit gym, and a large meeting room.

The renovation will also add a 10,000-square-foot retail center that will be anchored by two restaurant tenants. A courtyard with walking paths and gathering areas will connect the hotels and the retail center.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Marriott, Best Western, and our retail partners to develop the premier hotel campus in Philadelphia, providing guests with an unparalleled hospitality experience,” said Derek Sylvester, principal of Gulph Creek Hotels.
