Andre Hewitt recently joined Community Health & Dental Care as the new Behavioral Health Director at the Pottstown health center at 351 W. Schuylkill Road.

A licensed professional counselor, Hewitt comes to Community Health & Dental Care with experience working with children and adults who are facing a wide range of mental and emotional difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, and impulse control.

He is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy.

He earned his BA in Ministerial Theology from Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama, and his Master’s in clinical counseling psychology from Eastern University in St. Davids, Pennsylvania.

CHDC offers a fully integrated behavioral health and medical program. Equipped with a team of behavioral health consultants, it emphasizes the importance of working with the patient’s primary care provider to offer the best quality treatment available.

CHDC’s behavioral health consultants offer one-on-one treatments for depression, substance abuse, family issues, and more. New patients are welcome for all services.

Since 2008, Community Health & Dental Care ensures access to appropriate levels of care for all people in the service area regardless of their ability to pay. Same day and integrated appointments are available to meet the scheduling needs of patients and family members.

CHDC provides medical, dental, OBGYN, vision, podiatry, physical therapy, medication-assisted treatment, integrated behavioral health, care and case management, and free transportation to and from all CHDC health center locations in Pottstown and Barto.
