Overall, the 25 tourist attractions on the list, which were ranked by the number of visitors they attracted over the year, welcomed 20.6 million visitors last year. This came as the tourism industry in the region continued to make great strides in its recovery from the pandemic.

Compared to the previous year, in-person visitation increased by 104 percent, from 10.07 million in 2021 to 20.6 million visitors in 2022.
