They’re great resources for picking up gifts, sprucing up a home plot, or even just wandering aisles filled with colorful flowers and eye-catching plants.

The recommendations from the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board are:

Floral & Hardy

Skippack

The whimsical and rustic Floral & Hardy is filled with annuals, perennials, shrubs, veggies, herbs, and of course, flowers. Upstairs is a DIY succulent bar, at which patrons can design and fill a container with their selection of succulents.

Floral and Hardy also hosts Skippack events throughout the year, including:

• Free gardening classes with wine and cheese
• Kid and adult workshops
• Community festivals
• Private parties

Primex Garden Center

Glenside

The interior of the Primex Garden Center is a green oasis in which unique houseplants of multiple varieties are everywhere. Stock includes foliage houseplants, orchids, cacti, terrarium miniatures, and hanging baskets.

Outside in the Glenside nursery, sourced annuals are awaiting a trip home to bring color to planters and border beds.

And if patrons need pointers on how to handle the additions to the yard, the Primex staff is both knowledgeable and eager to share its horticultural wisdom.

Ott’s Exotic Plants

Schwenksville

Ott’s Exotic Plants will shake up a plant-shopping experience with its uniquely landscaped greenhouse. Onsite in Schwenksville are hundreds of exotic plant offerings (hence the business’ name), from tropical plants with oversized leaves to delicate flowers sourced from around the world.

The horticultural layout at Ott’s is ideal for Insta-worthy photos.

The Rhoads Garden

North Wales

The Rhoads Garden is not just an expansive lawn dotted with shrubs, trees, perennials, a greenhouse, and plenty of lawn décor. It is also the perfect North Wales spot to pick up a professionally designed bouquet made from flowers grown right in the garden.

Maple Acres Farm and Market

Plymouth Meeting

An ordinary farm might not leap to mind for a recommended vendor of floral arrangements. But Maple Acres is no ordinary farm. It encompasses six acres in Plymouth Meeting, across which patrons may cut their own flowers for self-arranging. For shoppers who are all thumbs (and none are green), arrangements made by Maple Acres’ pros are a purchasable option. The farm also sells seasonal vegetables.
