Tulips will be in peak bloom at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, where visitors can enjoy the gorgeous sight of around 200,000 blooms from various flowers now through next week, writes Holly Herman for the West Chester Patch

The beautiful flowers can be observed along with other bulbs along Longwood’s Flower Garden Walk. Visitors can also explore colorful beds of tulips along with spring annuals in the Idea Garden.

The colorful tapestry features over 200 varieties of tulips this year, such as single blooms, double blooms, and fringed.

This impressive design is the result of months of hard work by numerous Longwood Gardens talented staff members and volunteers. They planted hundreds of thousands of bulbs in October, from daffodils and hyacinths to tulips and much more, in preparation for Spring Blooms.

Gardens are open for viewing from Wednesday to Monday from 10 AM to 6 PM. The display requires timed admission tickets as well as reservations for members from Thursday to Sunday through May 7.
