An esteemed Philadelphia rock and ska band had a full circle moment at Ardmore Music Hall ahead of its ten-year anniversary. A decade ago, The Hooters played opening weekend for the venue. This past weekend, the band played three sold-out shows.

It was a celebration for not only the venue, but also for the band.

Led by singers and multi-instrumentalists Eric Bazilian and Rob Hyman, the band is celebrating its first full-length album since 2007. Rocking & Swinging features nine songs influenced by reggae and Jamaican ska.

Over the years, the members have followed their own individual music ventures. Hyman co-wrote “Time After Time” with Cyndi Lauper, and Bazilian co-wrote “One of Us” for Joan Osbourne, reported Dan DeLuca in The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Drummer David Uosikkinen also plays with In the Pocket, a band that celebrates Philadelphia music history.

The Ardmore Music Hall is an intimate venue that features up-and-coming music acts throughout the week. It uses state-of-the-art sound equipment to give quality experience to the audience and is a staple of the Ardmore music scene.
