Philadelphia Ranks Near Top Among Best Cities for St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations

If you are looking for a great place to celebrate the greenest holiday of the year, you don’t have to go far from home.

Philadelphia ranks near the top of the list of 2023’s best cities for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, according to a new report published by WalletHub.

WalletHub compared 200 of the nation’s largest cities across 15 key metrics to determine which places are the best to wear green, and even save some money while doing so. Metrics range from the number of Irish pubs and restaurants per capita to the cheapest three-star hotel on St. Patrick’s Day.

The City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection came in second place, just behind Boston.

Philadelphia ranked highest in the St. Patrick’s Day traditions category, where it came in second place as well. The costs category puts Philadelphia at No. 61, while its safety and accessibility rating placed it at No. 62.

Philadelphia ranked lowest in the St. Patrick’s Day weather category, where it placed at No. 93.

In specific metrics, Philadelphia ranked in fifth place among cities with the highest number of Irish pubs and restaurants per capita.
