Calling all Montgomery County sweet-toothed residents. The Travel Maven announced an Apr. 22 event ideal diners who dispassionately traverse appetizers and main courses to get to a meal’s sugary finale. It’s the local leg of Dessert Wars Philadelphia.
The competition is hailed as the largest dessert festival in the U.S.

The local, daylong showcase enables guests to wander the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center exhibition space, sample 30 sweets — as limited by use of tickets that come with the admission — from 50 bakery, sweet-shop, confectionery vendors.
Tickets are available only on Eventbrite and must be purchased in advance.
