Montgomery County either had more than its share of UFO reports last month or residents perhaps celebrated the early holiday season too rigorously. Roger Marsh, at NewsBreak, reported the filing of another local sighting of odd lights from above, this time in Harleysville.

A Dec. 12 report to Washington State’s National UFO Reporting Center indicated a resident seeing “numerous bright lights” from the sky beaming toward the ground.

Different from the Dec. 9 account of strange things in the sky about the Limerick Generating Station, this witness said the sight was a repeated occurrence over six to eight weeks.

“These lights are oftentimes 100 to 200 yards from the ground,” read the report. “They change color, size, and shape very quickly.

“They are often accompanied by much smaller, more numerous lights seen within the trees below and sometimes on the ground.

“Some nights we may have just one, somewhat stationary light, while other nights there are many that seem to move in all directions and at different speeds,” the written account read.

Also unique to this report is the presence of a “humming, static, or ringing” sound.

Investigators initially suspected hobbyist drone operators, but the number of individual lights and the prolonged timeframe make them unlikely causes.
