Bringing the community together is an important part of Center School’s fundraising and development efforts.

The nonprofit independent school for students with language-based learning disabilities hosts numerous events and activities at its campus in Abington.

The following events this year are open to the public:

Comedy Evening: Dinner and a Show
Feb. 11 at 6:30 PM

This adults-only night is slated to be one of laughter and amusement, and it’s a great way to start off your Super Bowl weekend. Renowned New York comedian Tom Ryan will take center stage and share his best material.

During the opening act, attendees will be served a barbecue-style dinner. Two cash bars will be available to purchase craft beer and wine from Blueprint Brewing Company and craft cocktails from Mermaid Spirits Co. Purchase tickets online. Order soon, as tickets are limited.

Family Pancake Breakfast
April 15 from 8-11 AM

Who doesn’t love pancakes? Center School is excited to once again host the Rotary Club of Jenkintown’s Annual Pancake Breakfast. Tickets will be available at the door for $10 per person.

Arrive early, as this all-you-can-eat event is always well attended. There will also be a special performance from the Jenkintown High School Jazz Combo and the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for gift baskets.

Annual Golf Tournament
June 12 from 11 AM-7 PM

Fore! There is no better way to spend a beautiful day in June than at the golf course. The Annual Golf Tournament is Center School’s largest fundraiser of the year, and it allows the community to gather together and help support the needs of local children.

Individuals, foursomes, and businesses are all invited to participate and/or sponsor this event. Information about registration and sponsorships can be found at Center School’s website.
