Community Health and Dental Seeks Donations to Supply Pottstown ‘Warming Center’
Community Health and Dental Care (CHDC) is partnering with Pottstown Beacon of Hope to bring a “warming center” to its community.
The Beacon of Hope’s resource is a welcoming location where those without homes can safely escape the bitter cold this winter.
The partnership needs generous residents’ donations, common items to make those seeking refuge more comfortable.
During the Nov. 28 to Dec. 16 collection effort, items can be dropped off at the CHDC location, 800 Heritage Dr., Pottstown.
To make participation easy, warming center donors can shop Amazon.com for goods and have them shipped directly to the CDHC, which will then ensure their transferal to Beacon of Hope.
The list of desired donations is:
- HotHands hand warmers (a particularly pressing need)
- Amazon gift cards
- Cleaning supplies
- Garbage bags
- Coffee
- Underwear
- Socks
- Bottled water
- Batteries
- Plates and utensils
- Rain ponchos
