Carrying on the community banking value of service, employees of Ambler Savings Bank spent a day working at the 77-acre camp offered by Variety, the Children’s Charity of the Delaware Valley.

Variety is renowned for its summer camp and vocational programming for children and young adults with disabilities.

“We appreciate the support from Ambler Savings Bank to help clean up camp for the fall. It takes a team to keep up with all the buildings and outdoor spaces to make the camp run at 100 percent,” explained Kristin Podwojski, Director of Operations, Variety.

Employees from the bank used their Oct. 10 day off to repair outdoor benches, clean up the vocational center, and paint the produce cart used to sell harvested fruits and vegetables raised in an onsite garden.

“Seeing the camp and hearing how their work is providing a safe space for children with disabilities made me feel how important it is to be here today to support their mission,” said Paul Shearer, Ambler Savings Bank Branch Operations Administrator.
