TerraTec LLC, an Indiana-based firm that manufactures microwave cables, has petitioned the Limerick Township Zoning Board for a building code variance. Joe Zlomek plugged into the reasons behind the request for The Sanatoga Post.

TerraTec seeks to expand the present site’s footprint in the Linfield Corporate Center by 6,500 square feet, about a third of the standing structure’s present size.

To do that, it needs the board’s approval to reduce setback requirements — the distance between a structure and its property lines — near an adjacent district zoned for residential purposes.

The cable products TerraTec makes, under the brand Samtech, are primarily used for military and aerospace purposes. Its client list includes Google, Intel, Apple, Tesla, and SpaceX.

The structure proposed for expansion is primarily a research, development, and assembly site. The jobs resulting from the increased capacity have been identified as 50 white-collar positions.

The Sanatoga Post contains further information on this request by TerraTec LLC.
