Glenside’s Michael Siani Records Strong Start to Baseball Season with Chattanooga Lookouts

After a lackluster year with the Dayton Dragons where he hit just .216 in 97 games, Glenside’s Michael Siani has recorded a much better start of the new season with the Chattanooga Lookouts, writes David Paschall for the Chattanooga Times Free Press.

“I did the whole Fall League thing last year at the end of the season out in Arizona, and that kind of ended things on a better note,” Siani said. “It gave me some momentum coming into this season.”

The 6-foot-1, 188-pound center fielder and leadoff hitter went 3-for-8 (.375) with a double and a home run during the second weekend in April in the three games against the Tennessee Smokies. He also drew five walks, which gave him a .615 on-base percentage.

Last Tuesday, he continued this successful run, this time against the Birmingham Barons, with a single to right field, a double to left, and a triple to center.

For the rest of the season, he hopes to “be a guy who gets on base constantly and can hit it all over the field.”
