Integrate For Good’s Opening Doors on Campus (ODOC) program at Gwynedd Mercy University launched and they had an awesome turnout this week.

GMU students working with Integrate For Good interns.

IFG intern Cara along with IFG intern from last semester, Catherine lead the IFG volunteers through the Sleeping Mat Project from start to finish at the University.

Many of the volunteers had never done the project before. Cara and Catherine took them through how to cut the bags, tie them into plarn, and how to weave the plarn into mats.

This program is more than just making mats. The Opening Doors on Campus Program is about having a meaningful place for people with all abilities to engage on campus through inclusive volunteerism and leadership opportunities.

This is a type of volunteering where everyone is involved and valued.

IFG is proud of its numbers as well as proud of the relationships behind them. Their research teaches them that people who are connected to other people are more likely to be housed, healthy, hired, and happy.

Integrate for Good is excited to contribute to a healthier and more inclusive community.
