According to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, revenue generated from gaming and fantasy contests totaled $393.1 million in January, with a significant part of that number coming from Valley Forge Casino in King of Prussia, according to a staff report from The Times Herald.
The total revenue marks a 26 percent increase compared to the same month in 2020, but it is still below November’s record month of $432.4 million.
January did set a record for revenue generated from internet gaming, which came out at $108.3 million. That number surpassed the record set in October 2021 when total revenue from internet gaming was $102.8 million.
Pennsylvania collected total tax revenue of $157.5 million for the month.
Meanwhile, Valley Forge Casino and Resort in King of Prussia recorded total revenue of $50.9 million in January. Out of that figure, slots generated $8.1 million, $3.2 million was from table games, while the total from internet gaming came out at $20.4 million.
