A TV reporter from Montgomery County was hit by a car last week during a live weather segment in West Virginia. Amazingly, Tori Yorgey managed to get right back up only moments later and report that she wasn’t hurt, collects herself, and continues reporting, writes Michael Tanenbaum for PhillyVoice.

Tori Yorgey was reporting on inclement weather conditions in Dunbar when a car hit her from behind and knocked her to the ground. The clip quickly became viral and shows the shocked reaction of station anchor Timm Irr who was communicating with Yorgey throughout the incident.

“Oh, my God. I just got hit by a car, but I’m OK,” Yorgey said. “I just got hit by a car, but I’m OK, Tim! I’m OK!”

After recovering from the initial shock of being hit, Yorgey tried to keep her composure and get back to reporting on the news.

“My whole life just flashed before my eyes,” she said. “But this is live TV and everything’s OK. I thought I was in a safe spot, but clearly, we might need to move the camera over a bit.”

The Today Show ran a short segment on the viral clip last week and confirmed that Yorgey was taken to the hospital afterward to be evaluated and it was confirmed she didn’t have any serious injuries.

Yorgey was a Plymouth Whitemarsh High School graduate and attended Penn State University. She went on to intern at FOX 29 before later coming to work at WSAZ TV, a news station in West Virginia.

She confirmed during her infamous broadcast that it was her last week at the station, and beginning in February she’ll be starting a new job at Pittsburgh news station WTAE-TV.

“I want to cover as much of my home state as I can,” Yorgey told the Post-Gazette. “I’m just excited to be back in Pennsylvania. I love it there.”
