Ambler-based Phenom Continues Its European Expansion with Acquisition of German Tech Startup
Ambler-based human resources startup Phenom is continuing to expand its European footprint with the acquisition of German tech startup Tandemploy, writes Kennedy Rose for The Business Journal.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
This latest acquisition will add a second German office for phenom, in addition to its existing offices in the Netherlands, Israel, and the United Kingdom. The tech unicorn also has offices in India.
Tandemploy’s technology features an algorithm that uses skills-based data and each person’s individual goals to match peers, mentors, project leaders, and subject-matter experts. The company’s staff, including its co-founders and co-CEOs Anna Kaiser and Jana Tepe, will join Phenom.
Tandemploy’s “extensive influence, remarkable technology, and renowned company culture fit seamlessly with Phenom and will rapidly accelerate our growth in EMEA,” said Phenom CEO Mahe Bayireddi.
Phenom’s startup’s valuation reached a whopping $1.4 billion last year when the company managed to raise a $100 million Series D with the goal of doubling its employee count. Bayireddi said at the time that there is no doubt that the company would go public sometime in the future.
Phenom is a technology company that specializes in connecting businesses and job seekers.
