After a year and a half of virtual gatherings and Zoom happy hours, beer fanatics from across the region were thirsty for the biggest party in the ‘burbs.

On October 7 and 9, nearly 3,000 people joined together to celebrate the triumphant return of King of Prussia District’s KOP Beerfest Royale and toast to the event’s 10-year anniversary!

KOP Beerfest Royale, presented by Budget Maintenance, featured a few new changes for 2021.  The beautifully lit and landscaped event space in the KOP Mall parking lot was expanded to give guests and vendors a little more space, fun new photo ops were introduced to enhance the attendee experience and a number of new brewers made their Beerfest debuts, under the grand tents.

Perhaps the biggest and most visible change to the award-winning festival was to Beerfest’s grand tasting event, King’s Plate.

This year the event was expanded to include the region’s best food trucks, in addition to KOP’s hottest restaurants.

From mouthwatering perogies to piping hot brick oven pizza to Bahn Mi hot dog bites, eight trucks served up their signature dishes and vied for the title of Best of Beerfest.

In the end, it was KOP restaurant bartaco’s pork belly tacos that took the crown, with Bonefish Grill coming in second for their ever-popular bang bang shrimp.
