Clay’s Creative Corner Bakery in Berwyn is celebrating 31 years of making some of the best sweets on the Main Line, writes Chandler Lutz for 6ABC.

The scratch bakery offers a variety of delicious sweets, including pastries, cupcakes, brownies, decorated cookies, and specialty cakes. The chocolate chip cookies and chocolate chip pound cake are among the bakery’s most popular offerings.

The establishment has been owned and operated by Denise Bones and her husband Bill since 1990 and remains a true family business. The bakery was named in honor of Denise’s father Clayton Earl Clark, III who passed away the year before the bakery was opened.

“All of my children are involved in the business,” said Denise. “I have five children and now my granddaughter is involved.”

Each of the customers who walk through the door is also made to feel like part of a big, sweets-loving family.

The bakery is also known for its intricate designs of various cakes. It offers layered cakes and pound cakes that can be customized to any occasion through specialty fillings, toppings, and colors.

Denise said she has made cakes for everything, from birthdays to holidays to weddings … and even divorces.
