Lark in Bala Cynwyd, the latest project of Top Chef Nick Elmi and fellow restaurateur Fia Berisha, is among the eight most anticipated restaurant openings in Philadelphia this fall, writes Maddy Sweitzer-Lammé for Philadelphia Magazine.

Fall is the best time for outdoor dining, and Montco has some of the best new restaurants coming our way.

Lark is the second of two restaurants that the pair signed on to open in the redeveloped Pencoyd Ironworks in Bala Cynwyd.

The first, The Landing Kitchen, opened in March and has become an instant success. They envisioned The Landing Kitchen as a breezy community hub serving breakfast, lunch, and light weekend dinners. It is ideal for nice weather, but also has an indoor dining room as well as outdoor fire pits and heaters.

The restaurant will be a more upscale space and will offer seasonal and sustainable seafood. It is expected to open in October. They are calling themselves a new and approachable coastal restaurant in the reimagined riverfront of the Ironworks.

Their Instagram says the space is situated in an airy space with a rooftop terrace that overlooks the Schuylkill River. Enjoy the fresh air while you dine above the river, consume sustainably sourced seafood, seasonal produce, and handmade pasta.
