The Landing Kitchen by ‘Top Chef’ Nick Elmi Opens Its Doors in Bala Cynwyd

The Landing Kitchen, the new restaurant by the Top Chef winner Nick Elmi and his business partner Fia Berisha, opened its doors to eager customers on Thursday on the ground floor of the new Residence Inn by Marriott, writes Michael Klein for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
The restaurant is currently serving from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday, with dinner forthcoming.
The famous chef will also open a more formal sibling to the new restaurant named Lark on the seventh floor in April. Lark will be a coastal Mediterranean restaurant.
Elmi, who already runs Laurel and In the Valley in South Philadelphia, was looking to expand mid-2019 when he heard about the project at the old Pencoyd Iron Works in Bala Cynwyd. While he immediately pounced on the opportunity, the pandemic delayed both the opening of the hotel and his restaurant.
Elmi and Berisha used the time to get the restaurant in place and retain Michael Millon, formerly of A Mano in Fairmount, as chef of both restaurants.
The restaurant is now pandemic-ready, with huge garage doors, open floor plan, and fine ventilation.
