To determine the ranking, Niche compared counties in the country based on relevant metrics, such as public schools, cost of living, job opportunities, and local amenities. Montgomery County was reviewed, as well as many counties in PA and across the country.

Montgomery County ranked as the top county to live in Pennsylvania and is among the top 50 in the nation, according to a new report by Niche.

In addition to coming out on top in Pennsylvania, Montgomery County ranked at No. 30 in the United States.

Montco ranked highly thanks in no small part to its excellent schools, a plethora of outdoor places to enjoy, healthy residents, and plenty of job opportunities, especially for young professionals.

There is lots to do, more to see, and great places to dine.

It is also more diverse than the majority of Pennsylvania counties and a great place to raise a family.

The county’s cost of living is on the higher side, with the median home value currently standing at $316,100, which is significantly above the national median of $217,500.

However, the average median household income of $91,546 is also considerably more than the national average of $62,843.
