Montgomery County is a hotbed for live music year-round, and during the summer months, the party heads outside with a full outdoor summer concerts schedule.

Montco’s outdoor concert season is highlighted by the Philadelphia Folk Festival, the longest continually run outdoor music festival in North America.

This three-day celebration of folk music that is now in its 59 1/2 year. 

But there is great live music throughout the summer. Check out our list below and make plans to catch a show during your #MakeItMontco getaway.

Spring Mountain Ski Slope
The annual Philadelphia Folk Festival, presented by the Philadelphia Folksong Society, is the longest, continuously running outdoor music fest in North America. “Fest” brings some of the leading names in folk music to Montgomery County for three days each August.

World Music Summer Concert Series
Thursdays in July 2021
Abington Art Center
These events will take place on the grounds of Alverthorpe Manor, the home of Abington Art Center. Concerts will be presented both live on our beautiful outdoor stage and via live streaming on Facebook.

Ukrainian Folk Festival

Experience a day of entertainment and culture at the 30th annual Ukrainian Folk Festival. Enjoy amazing performances, including traditional Ukrainian folk music and modern pop.

Lansdale Festival Of The Arts

The annual Lansdale Festival of the Arts brings some of the area’s top artisans and crafters to the borough for a juried art show. The day also includes live jazz music, great food, and door prizes for event-goers.

Ardmore Music Festival
Saturday, August 21st
Ardmore Music Hall 
A free, multi-stage outdoor event, aimed at bringing thousands of people to town to create one big celebration day, while rerouting the Bike Race through Suburban Square and setting up the main entertainment stage in Suburban’s west lot (off Anderson).  Proceeds raised by the event will benefit Narberth Ambulance, and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, while the ancillary benefits for all businesses and for the town of Ardmore will hopefully be enormous.

Wayne Music Festival
Saturday October 2nd, 2021
Wayne, Pa
The event attracts more than 10,000 people each year to enjoy a wide range of musical genres and artists from all over the country.  The Wayne music festival highlights local and regional acts, as well as over 75 local restaurants and vendors.

Outdoor Concert Series
When The Sun Goes Down…. The Music Turns Up In Whitemarsh!

All concerts start at 7:00PM Tuesday, July 6 –27, and are held rain or shine. Admission is free. 

St. Thomas’ Carillon at St. Thomas’ Church Whitemarsh, will again host another season of international summer concerts for the surrounding community. 

Live @ Town Center

King of Prussia Town Center
The King of Prussia Town Center becomes a live music destination on Thursday evenings during with special Live @ Town Center programming.

Green Lane Park 2021 Concert Lineup

Green Lane Park has prepared quite a lineup of amazing artists ranging from Steve Pullara and his Cool Beans band to the Little Red Rooster Blues Band and many more to check out. Plymouth Township Performances In The Park

The Plymouth Township Performances in the Park series features sunset movies and concerts at the Community Center Park amphitheater behind the Greater Plymouth Community Center. This year’s concert lineup includes Motown, soul, classic rock, and today’s biggest hits.

Upper Moreland Parks And Recreation Sizzlin’ Summer Concert Series

Masons Mill Park Concert Gazebo
The 2019 Sizzlin’ Summer Concerts Series at Masons Mill Park Concert Gazebo brings a world of music to Upper Moreland Township on Sunday nights from June 30 through August 11. Performers cover a range of styles, including classic rock, country, jazz, and more.

Frank P. Law Summer Concert Series 2021
The beautiful sounds of the Washington Memorial Chapel carillon – played by a rotation of internationally acclaimed musicians. These summer concerts are free and guests are encouraged to bring a blanket and a picnic dinner.

The Bassboards come to Wentz Run Park on Thursday, August 12!
