A summer beer from Wawa and 2SP Brewing Company in Aston may lure you in on its name alone: The Sunfest Strawberry Lemonade Shandy.

The can has a bearded guy surfing on a hoagie.

“There’s no better time than now to reunite with our friends at 2SP to provide a perfect summer beverage to our community to enjoy after the past year we’ve all had,” said Mike Sherlock, Wawa’s chief product marketing officer.

Wawa and 2SP have teamed up each winter since 2018, releasing a limited-edition beer that blends Wawa coffee with 2SP stouts, writes Stephanie Farr for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Their first effort, the Wawa Reserve Coffee Stout, sold out in a day.

Hundreds lined up next year when it was released again at the Wawa in Chadds Ford.

This latest product uses a “unique yeast that showcases the spectrum of flavors of Wawa’s Strawberry Lemonade” and “sings summer crusher,” said 2SP’s director of sales and marketing Michael Contreras.

The Sunfest shandy is available Thursday at select Wawas, including Montco’s Horsham store.

Wawa will officially launch the limited-edition brew – to be exclusively sold at six Wawa stores – with a 4:00 p.m. ceremonial first pour and toast at Wawa’s “Stadium Store,” the newest location to carry beer in Philadelphia at 2600 Penrose Ave.

Beach-themed giveaways will be up for grabs, as well as samples of the Sunfest Strawberry Lemonade Shandy.

Join Wawa and 2SP to kick off a much-anticipated summer season filled with long-overdue family gatherings, trips to the Jersey Shore, and backyard barbecues!
