Warm weather is getting diners out in droves and those who feel like dining alfresco have several local spots that are among the best in the Philadelphia region, writes Alex Tewfik for Philadelphia Magazine.

Avram Hornik, known for being the mastermind behind nearly every popular open-air restaurant in Philadelphia, has entered the Main Line market for the first time with Lola’s Garden. The restaurant located at 49 Saint Georges Road fits his tried-and-true model to a T. It is has a big, open floor plan with plenty of seating, great service, a delicious modern American menu, along with the open sky above.

Meanwhile, The Landing Kitchen is the brainchild of Top Chef Nick Elmi and restaurateur Fia Berisha. This restaurant is one of the pair’s two establishments at the Residence Inn in Bala Cynwyd. The eatery at 617 Righters Ferry Road has a spacious patio that overlooks the Schuylkill River.

Among the mouthwatering options on the menu are avocado toast with yuzu kosho, a deliciously crunchy fried chicken sandwich, and a fontina/cheddar grilled cheese on brioche toast.
