Bryn & Dane’s, counter-service restaurant chain with locations in Plymouth Meeting and Horsham, has rebranded as Fudi Fast Food and now offers an all-vegan menu, writes Michael Klein for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The first location to premier the new name and its menu was the restaurant’s affiliate in Entebbe, Uganda, in early April, followed by its flagship Plymouth Meeting location in late April.

The Horsham restaurant will follow on May 13.

But for the founder Bryn Davis, the latest move does not represent a big change.

“Half of our menu was plant-based anyway,” he said.

Additionally, the move to a fast food system will help streamline preparation and service.

The Uganda location was the result of a last-minute trip to African that got Davis interested in the global food ecosystem. He returned determined to help create community-based restaurants overseas.

“I thought, how dope would it be just to teach them how I make money and then let them make their own money and teach them how to fish rather than just giving them cash?” he said.

After three years of navigating red tape and construction, the restaurant finally opened last month.
