Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board has launched the second phase of its Make It Main Street marketing campaign that highlights dozens of small Montgomery County businesses, writes Laura Smythe for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

This part of the campaign emphasizes the importance of shopping locally and being a part of a community. The initiative highlights local businesses that include arts and culture venues, golf courses, hotel and retail properties, and food establishments.

The second round of the campaign is being implemented in partnership with Montgomery County and its Commerce Department and is backed by federal CARES Act funding.

The aim is to draw attention to family-owned businesses throughout the county in an attempt to drive consumer spending in the region and support local jobs.

As a part of this, 30-second commercials will air on NBC10 and Telemundo 62 during programming such as local news and the Today Show. Local businesses will also be featured on NBC10’s “Philly Live” and 6ABC’s “FYI Philly.”

Additionally, a digital advertising component will target potential visitors within the drive market.
