April 10 Update: ZIP Codes Where COVID-19 Spread the Most and Least in Montgomery County
The number of new COVID-19 cases in Montgomery County have been increasing, write Sean Adams and Megan Lavey-Heaton for the Harrisburg Patriot-News. Pennsylvania has now reached over 1 million COVID-19 cases.
The latest data compiled by the Pennsylvania Department of Health highlights the cases of COVID-19 infection in each ZIP Code statewide for the seven days ending April 7, 2021 compared to the seven days prior.
The highest increase during this period was in ZIP code 19446 (Lansdale), which reported an increase of 3%, with 118 new cases, and the second highest was 3% in ZIP code 19403 (Norristown) with 85 new cases recorded in the last week.
Zip Code 19468 (Royersford) reported an increase of 3% with 56 new cases. ZIP Code 19406 (King of Prussia) reported an increase of 4% with 54 new cases, while ZIP Code 19002 (Ambler) reported an increase of 3% with 42 new COVID-19 cases.
ZIP Code 19422 (Center Square) reported an increase of 4% with 44 new cases, and ZIP Code 19473 (Schwenksville) reported a 4% increase of 39 new cases.
ZIP Code 19522 (Pottsgrove) has an increase of 3% with 29 new COVID-19 spread cases, and ZIP Code 19044 (Horsham) has reported a 3% increase with 28 new cases.
ZIP Code 19127 (Bala Cynwyd) has reported an increase of 4% with 13 new COVID-19 cases.
In terms of where COVID-19 has spread the least, ZIP Code 19453 (Mont Clare) has reported 9% new cases with 4 new COVID-19 cases; while ZIP Code 18070 (Palm) has a 6% increase with 3 new cases. Zip Code 19025 (Dresher) has a 1% increase with 1 new COVID-19 case.
ZIP Code 19424 (Blue Bell) has reported zero new cases, as well as ZIP Code 19478 (Spring Mount) reporting no new cases.
COVID-19 cases are back up in Montgomery County, despite vaccinations. Please continue to wear a mask and wash your hands.
