Telford’s Dr. Jillian Fontana received the Neumann University School of Nursing and Health Sciences Distinguished Alumni Award in a virtual ceremony on March 19. 

The award is presented to a graduate whose career is characterized by continuous and exemplary contributions to society through research, practice, education, or service. 

Dr. Fontana is a lead out-patient physical therapist at Grand View Health with a focus on vertigo, vestibular and concussion patients. She is also an aqua Zumba instructor and graduate teaching assistant in Neumann’s doctoral of physical therapy program,  

She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa and her doctorate in physical therapy from Neumann University.

She also holds a balance vestibular certificate from the American Institute and cervical headache vestibular certification from Strategic Orthopedics.
