The number of new COVID-19 cases is starting to drop nationwide and across the state, with Montgomery County numbers following the downward trend.

The highest percentage increase in Montgomery County over this period was in ZIP Code 19009 (Bryn Athen.)

Here cases increased by 15 percent to reach 37.

The latest numbers compiled by the Pennsylvania Department of Health highlight the rates of COVID-19 infection in each ZIP Code statewide for the seven days ending February 3 compared to infection rates for the seven days prior.

ZIP Code 19025 (Dresher) saw an increase of 9 percent, while ZIP Code 18074 (Frederick) rose by 7.7 percent.

On a more positive side, several ZIP Codes have reported lower increases than in previous weeks.

These include ZIP Codes 19001 (Abington) and 19446 (Lansdale) with an increase of two percent each and ZIP Code 19095 (Wyncote) which reported a rise of 1.4 percent.
