Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority will receive $360,000 from the Federal Transit Administration to create plans for transit-oriented development at five stations of the proposed four-mile King of Prussia rail extension of Norristown High Speed Line, according to a staff report from Progressive Railroading.

The awards are being allocated through the FTA’s Pilot Program for Transit-Oriented Development Planning that funds planning projects near public transportation that improve access, encourage ridership, and push forward economic and mixed-use development.

SEPTA is one of nine recipients of these funds.
