Manor College has partnered with The American Red Cross for a vampire-esque, Halloween themed blood drive on Wednesday Oct. 28, from 10 AM to 3 PM.

The drive is open to the community and all are welcome to attend. Those who are taking part and donating blood are urged to stay as hydrated as possible and to boost their Vitamin C intake 2-3 weeks prior to donating.

“Now, more than ever, donating blood is essential,” said Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students, Allison Mootz.

Manor College is taking many safety precautions due to COVID-19, including checking temperatures of staff and donors before entering the blood drive, providing hand sanitizer, disinfecting surfaces, following social distancing protocols, wearing masks and encouraging attendees to do so as well.

“The American Red Cross is following all CDC guidelines and ensures a safe environment to donate, so you will have nothing to worry about,” said Mootz. “Please consider signing up to help save lives!”

To donate blood, attendees must register here. Questions and concerns regarding the blood drive should be sent to Student Affairs Office Manager, Tarra Raspanti via email.
