Jessica DeLuise, the Conshohocken physician assistant and blogger behind The Wellness Kitchenista, loves sharing practical and easy tips for using food as medicine, writes Gina Tomaine for the Philadelphia Magazine.

DeLuise, who has over a decade of clinical experience, is currently practicing at American Family Care in Conshohocken. She is also certified as a culinary medicine specialist and serves as an on-air wellness and lifestyle expert and the on-air expert for Calphalon on QVC.

To top it all, she is the host of Amazon’s “Eat Your Way to Wellness” food and lifestyle program.

Healthy living plays a huge role in DeLuise’s private life as well. At one point in her life, she was struggling with several health issues, including esophageal ulcers.

“Once I began to seek out a preventative lifestyle, I finally understood how refreshed, strong, and empowered I could actually feel,” she said.

Now when advising others how to start their road toward healthier living, she emphasizes the importance of starting right away and just focusing on one small thing at first.

“When you feel like you have a good handle on that, then add something else,” she said.
