What You Need To Know If You Plan To Vote By Mail in Montgomery County

There is a little over a month left before the deadline, and already more than 150,000 voters in Montgomery County have applied for mail-in and absentee ballots for the November 4 election, writes Crissa Shoemaker DeBree for the Bucks County Courier Times.

With 171,500 applications already approved, Montgomery County has already surpassed the number of mail-in votes cast during the last primary election in June.

Here is what you need to know if you are planning to vote by mail.

You can apply for a mail-in or absentee ballot online or request an application through the mail by contacting the Department of State on email or 1-877-VOTESPA. You can also contact or visit the local election office.

It is required to have a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license or other ID issued by the Department of Transportation.

The deadline to apply is October 27. To be certain your application has been approved, you can check your status here.

Mail-in ballots have to be received by the county board of elections at the latest by 8 P.M. on Election Day.
