Five Montgomery County Colleges Among 2021 Best Colleges in America
Five Montgomery County colleges have placed among the best colleges in the nation for 2021, according to a new list published by The Wall Street Journal.
The Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings are based on 15 factors across four main categories. These include student outcomes, academic resources, student engagement, and learning environment.
Haverford College ranked the highest among Montgomery County schools at No. 40 with a 76.8 overall score. The liberal arts school is also the fourth highest-ranked Pennsylvania college and third in the Philadelphia region. The college dropped one spot from last year.
Bryn Mawr College also placed in the top 100 at No. 66 with a 71.9 overall score. The school dropped 13 places compared to 2020 when it was No. 53.
Villanova University is next at No. 127 with a 64 overall score. The private, not-for-profit educational institution climbed two spots compared to last year.
Meanwhile, Ursinus College in Collegeville came in at No. 178 with an overall score of 59.7.
The list is rounded off by Saint Joseph’s University at No. 248 with an overall score of 55.6.
