27 New Positive COVID-19 Cases Reported in Montgomery County, 1 New Death

Yet another record breaking highest daily increase in COVID-19 cases statewide, wherein Montgomery County has reported over 300 new positives.

As of Tuesday Sept 22, Montgomery County reported 27 new positive cases of COVID-19, according to the county’s COVID-19 website.

The county reported 266 new coronavirus infections over the previous seven days, and 538 new cases over the last two weeks, 76 fewer cases than were reported during the previous 14-day period.

Montgomery County’s 7-day count trend continues to tick upward.

With 1 new death, Montco’s COVID-19 death toll has risen to 831 individuals.

The 27 new positive cases reported Tuesday pushed the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Montgomery County to 11,750 countywide.

Of those 11,750 COVID cases, 6,165 are females, 5,513 are males, and 41 are unknown.

The average age of individuals with COVID-19 across the county is 48.98 years-old.

COVID-19 contact tracing efforts are ongoing and are critical to slowing the spread of the disease. The County has partnered with ACLAMO, Family Services of Montgomery County, Montgomery County OIC, and Visiting Nurses Association Community Services to help with contact tracing efforts.

Individuals who have been tested or identified as a direct contact of an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19 and has received a call from any of our community partners may return the call to 610.278.5923 to find out their results or status. All information discussed on the call is strictly confidential and is only used to trace COVID-19 cases.
