Montgomery County July 8th COVID-19 and Testing Update

As of Thursday, July 2, the last time the County updated their COVID-19 numbers, there have been 62 additional COVID-19 cases reported in Montgomery County.

There were no additional COVID-19 related deaths reported.

That brings the total number of positive cases in the county to 8,456, with the number of COVID-19 related deaths remaining at 800.

Pennsylvania data

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of noon, July 7, that there are 995 additional positive cases of COVID-19 since Monday, July 6, bringing the statewide total to 91,299.

There were 26 additional deaths reported with the total number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 at 6,787.

Montgomery County COVID-19 Testing

Montgomery County’s drive-through COVID-19 testing location on the Central Campus of Montgomery County Community College will closed last week. The new walk-up testing sites and operations are:

Pottstown – Montgomery County Office of Public Health, 364 King Street. Testing is available:

  • Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from noon to 2 p.m.
  • Tuesday/Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Lansdale – 421 Main Street. Testing is available:

  • Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Tuesday/Thursday from noon to 2 p.m.

Willow Grove – Montgomery County Office of Public Health, 102 York Road (this site will be moving). Testing is available:

  • Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from noon to 2 p.m.
  • Tuesday/Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Green Lane – Deep Creek and Snyder Road. Testing is available:

  • Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Tuesday/Thursday from noon to 2 p.m.

Ardmore – 114 W. Lancaster Ave. Testing is available:

  • Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Tuesday/Thursday from noon to 2 p.m.

Norristown – Delaware Valley Community Health Center at the Norristown Regional Health Center at 1401 Dekalb Street. This site opened on Tuesday.

COVID-19 contact tracing efforts are ongoing and are critical to slowing the spread of the disease. The County has partnered with ACLAMO, Family Services of Montgomery County, Montgomery County OIC, and Visiting Nurses Association Community Services to help with contact tracing efforts.

Individuals who have been tested or identified as a direct contact of an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19 and has received a call from any of our community partners may return the call to 610.278.5923 to find out their results or status. All information discussed on the call is strictly confidential and is only used to trace COVID-19 cases.
