The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit has elected Dr. Regina Clare Speaker Palubinsky for the position as its Executive Director.

The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit Board of Directors has elected Dr. Regina Clare Speaker Palubinsky to the position of Executive Director at the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit.

She will replace Dr. John George, who is retiring after six years with the MCIU.

Palubinsky is currently serving as the Superintendent of the Great Valley School District in Chester County. She has also previously served as the Assistant Superintendent for the Phoenixville Area School District and Special Assistant to the Pennsylvania Secretary of Education for the PA Department of Education.

Additionally, she has been a graduate instructor and staff-development provider for various school districts, universities, and businesses.

“I have known Dr. Palubinsky for several years, and I could not be more pleased with her appointment,” said George. “I am confident that she is the right leader to continue the outstanding work for which MCIU has become known.”

Palubinsky was elected to the position after a “very competitive interview process,” said MCIU Board President Maura Buri, adding that “she brings a diverse wealth of knowledge from the span of her career and I am certain she will prove to be the exceptional leader we need in order to continue to move our organization forward.”
